VALUE Academy of Professional Development
Building Institutional Capacity for Authentic Assessment
The VALUE Academy of Professional Development provides faculty and institutional leaders with the training and resources needed to implement the VALUE approach to assessment effectively.
Through workshops, webinars, and professional learning opportunities offered throughout the year—in person, hybrid, and fully virtual—the Academy helps educators strengthen teaching, improve assessment practices, and generate meaningful evidence of student learning.
The Academy supports institutions using VALUE rubrics, the VALUE Scoring Collaborative, and other VALUE resources by developing the knowledge and skills needed to implement authentic assessment across programs and campuses.
Professional Development Opportunities
The VALUE Academy offers a range of affordable professional learning opportunities designed to support faculty, assessment leaders, and institutional teams.
- Free webinars (approximately 1 hour) introducing key concepts in authentic assessment
- Workshops (approximately 4 hours) focused on applying VALUE rubrics and assessment strategies
- Extended workshop series (multi-session professional learning experiences)
- VALUE Rubric Calibration Training for faculty evaluators
- Customized professional development designed to meet the needs of individual institutions
