Why the VE/COIL Clinic Series?
The AAC&U VE/COIL Clinic Series is a year-round professional learning portfolio designed to help educators and institutional leaders move beyond learning about VE/COIL to successfully implementing, assessing, scaling, and sustaining globally connected learning.
Whether you are designing your first VE/COIL experience or leading institution-wide initiatives, the Clinics provide practical guidance, structured support, and a professional community focused on turning ideas into action.
Developed by the Office of Global Citizenship for Campus, Community, and Careers, each clinic combines expert facilitation, collaborative peer learning, individualized feedback, and practical implementation activities that participants can immediately apply within their own institutional contexts.
Participants will:
- Develop practical implementation plans, tools, and resources.
- Receive individualized feedback from AAC&U facilitators.
- Learn alongside faculty and institutional leaders from diverse institutions.
- Build confidence in designing, assessing, and expanding VE/COIL.
- Earn AAC&U digital credentials recognizing professional learning and implementation.
Each clinic may be taken independently. Together, the seven clinics form a comprehensive professional learning portfolio supporting faculty, academic leaders, and institutions in advancing globally connected learning through VE/COIL.
