Office of Leadership and Strategy
AAC&U’s Office of Leadership and Strategy (OLS) fosters thriving colleges and universities through programming, resources, and events that build resilience among higher education leaders, within institutions, and across the sector.
Resilient institutions are built by resilient people. OLS helps leaders exercise authentic and empowering leadership, build community, and lead strategic transformation.
At the institutional level, OLS examines how colleges and universities deploy human and financial resources to fulfill their missions and how they can operate more effectively amid the evolving challenges facing higher education.
At the sector level, OLS convenes experts to address complex challenges, advance new ideas, and help colleges and universities better serve students, communities, and society.

Advancing Public Trust in Higher Education (APT)Understand what shapes public trust and identify ways colleges and universities can demonstrate their value and strengthen relationships with the communities they serve.
Leadership Development and SupportAcross multiple program offices, including OLS, AAC&U provides development and support programming for new, experienced, and aspiring higher education leaders.
The Presidents’ TrustEngage with other college and university presidents in shared learning, dialogue, and collective leadership around issues affecting liberal education, students, and higher education.
