AAC&U-Cengage Inclusion Scholarship

The AAC&U-Cengage Inclusion Scholarship is awarded to college and university presidents in recognition of their outstanding leadership to advance liberal education. In acknowledgment of AAC&U and Cengage’s shared commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the Inclusion Scholarship recognizes presidential leaders from underrepresented groups whose efforts have reduced equity gaps, improved inclusion and belonging for minoritized students, and/or promoted diversity in hiring practices. 

 

Frederic W. Ness Book Award

Established in 1979 to honor AAC&U’s ninth president, the annual Frederic W. Ness Book Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the understanding and improvement of liberal education.

 

The K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award

Established to honor the work of K. Patricia Cross, professor emerita of higher education at the University of California­–Berkeley, the K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award recognizes graduate students who show exemplary promise as future leaders of higher education, who demonstrate a commitment to developing academic and civic responsibility in themselves and others, and whose work reflects a strong emphasis on teaching and learning.
