Institute on Virtual Exchange / Collaborative Online International Learning
–
Online
The Fulbright US-UK Global Challenges Teaching Awards, supported by the Fulbright US-UK Global Challenges Teaching Awards and AAC&U, facilitate collaboration between faculty members and supporting staff from higher education institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. This program leverages virtual exchange and collaborative online international learning (VE/COIL) partnerships to address pressing global challenges.
With leadership from AAC&U, the 2024-25 Institute on VE/COIL will run from August 26, 2024, to May 23, 2025, focusing on the development and implementation of VE/COIL courses as part of the Fulbright Global Challenges Teaching Awards. Institutional teams from both countries will engage in collaborative activities, professional development sessions, and virtual and physical exchanges to enhance their teaching practices and address key global issues.
Faculty
Multilingual and multicultural VE/COIL experts from AAC&U will collaborate to co-facilitate the online professional development courses and offer mentoring support for participating higher education institutions involved in the Fulbright US-UK Global Challenges Teaching Awards. The Institute will also feature guest lectures from other leaders in the VE/COIL field.
