Global Learning and Institutional Transformation in US Higher Education

Help Shape the Future of Global Learning

A National Study

AAC&U invited faculty, staff, and administrators to take part in a national survey examining how global learning is embedded in US colleges and universities today. The research captured a snapshot of current practices and innovative trends shaping the next generation of global learning.

Input from this survey will directly inform AAC&U’s national research and programming on global learning and institutional transformation. It will also inform the forthcoming US edition of the Internationalization at Home: an introductory handbook. The original version was developed by Universities UK International (UUKi) Outward Student Mobility Network to help institutions embed global perspectives across all aspects of the student experience—particularly for students who do not study abroad. The US version will be adapted to reflect the structures, priorities, and implementation realities of American higher education.

Thank you to all who participated! Please stay tuned for further information and the release of the findings and handbook.
