2025 HBCU Principal Investigator's Meeting
Call for Proposals
The HBCU-UP PI Meeting is an initiative of the NSF-funded Knowledge Management Resource Center (KMRC). All HBCU PIs are invited to submit proposals to present their research findings, and/or project accomplishments. Details are provided below.

HBCU-UP PIs can prepare, edit, and view their proposal submissions up until the submission deadline of January 22.

The following information is required.
Information about presenters.

Presentation Format.
- Poster (up to 90 minutes). Poster presentations provide an opportunity for presenters to create concise, visual displays of their project interventions, findings, and/or outcomes. These presentations should be designed to engage attendees in the kind of vigorous, informal discussions that typically cannot be achieved through concurrent session formats.
- Concurrent Session (up to 60 minutes). As space and time allow, several presentation proposals will be selected for a concurrent session. Concurrent sessions provide an opportunity for presenters to disseminate findings and/or outcomes from their projects. These sessions should be designed for interaction and engagement with an audience, as well as allow ample time for attendee questions and feedback.

Presentation Proposal. Not to exceed a total of 300 words combined.
- Background and Significance. A brief overview of the work and its significance to the knowledge base. A description of the problem being addressed, a rationale for the approach, and the underlying theory(ies) informing the work.
- Methods. A description of methods employed in the project.
- Results/Evidence of Effectiveness. The specific outcomes of the work and the metrics used to determine the effectiveness and overall impact of the work.
- Plan for Engaging Conference Participants/Attendees (if appropriate). A brief description of how interaction will be promoted with the audience.
Please note that collection of survey data, focus group activity, or similar are not appropriate modes of interaction for the HBCU-UP PI Meeting.

The deadline to submit proposals is January 22, 2025.

All session presenters are responsible for conference registration fees, travel expenses, etc.
