Advancing Public Trust in Higher Education
APT Coalition
The Advancing Public Trust (APT) Coalition brings together a cross-sector group of higher education, advocacy, business and civil society leaders and organizations to address public trust in higher education.

APT Coalition Purpose
Employing the five conditions of collective impact (common agenda, shared metrics, mutually reinforcing activities, continuous communication, and strong backbone), the APT Coalition
- promotes a shared understanding of the drivers of public trust in higher education;
- enables meaningful collaboration within and beyond the sector;
- deepens community and student engagement; and
- encourages institutional innovation in developing and implementing trustworthy practices.
APT Coalition members meet regularly to discuss on-going challenges in public trust in higher education and the collective action necessary to address those issues.
Working Groups
The APT Coalition implements much of its work through member-led working groups. Each working group develops its own action-oriented agenda to address a specific issue or constituency.
Current APT Coalition working groups:
- Community Engagement
- Faculty Engagement
