Institutional Membership

Eligibility

Any college or university that is accredited by one of the US regional accrediting bodies, or is a formal candidate for institutional accreditation, is eligible for membership. College and university system or district offices, state higher education agencies, and institutions of higher education outside the United States that are authorized to grant degrees by their national governments are also eligible.

Benefits

Institutional member benefits include significantly discounted access to resources and events. These benefits are enjoyed by everyone at the institution, from administrators and faculty to staff and students. Designated individuals receive a print subscription to Liberal Education, AAC&U's award-winning magazine, and everyone affiliated with the institution gains full online access to the magazine.

Dues

For colleges and universities, membership dues are based on full-time equivalent (FTE) student enrollment. For institutions that do not calculate FTE, the dues category will be determined using the following formula: FTE = total number of undergraduate students (full- and part-time) x 0.39 + total number of graduate students (full- and part-time ) x 0.38. For system or district offices and state agencies, dues are set at a flat rate.
