Senior Web Editor and Manager of Web Communications
Leading national higher education association dedicated to advancing undergraduate liberal education seeks a Senior Web Editor and Manager of Web Communications to oversee editing, design, and improvement of comprehensive association Web site (www.aacu.org) and intranet. Reporting directly to the VP for Communications and Public Affairs, the Senior Web Editor/Manager of Web Communications works collaboratively with association staff across offices to design, edit, and develop Web content and resources.
Responsibilities: Design, maintain, and develop content for AAC&U’s main Web site and several individual project sites; maintain editorial integrity and technical content and support for Association’s Web sites; develop and manage style sheets and templates using Adobe Dreamweaver and Contribute Publisher; develop and manage online communications and audio/video content including RSS feeds and video/audio podcasts; conduct and coordinate staff training in Adobe Contribute, Web writing and other Web technologies.
Qualifications: Strong editing and writing skills, including skills in writing for Web-based publications and sites; Mastery of HTML, CFML, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Fireworks; Working knowledge of CSS, XML, and Video Editing Software; Familiarity with Web database queries, SQL Server Manager, and Javascript; Proven success in Web project management; Effective interpersonal communication and managerial skills; Exceptional attention to detail; Comfort working as a member of a team as well as independently.
BA degree and minimum of 3 years experience with Web editing required; Salary competitive and dependent on experience. Exceptional benefits. Review of candidates will begin May 16, 2008.
