Abstract
The article discusses the adoption of Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education (VALUE) by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW). It states that UNCW shifted to use VALUE rubrics for four of their learning goals and share its findings so that cross-institutional comparisons can be made. It notes that VALUE rubrics detail four levels of student achievement and can be used to compare each separate work product to the characteristics that UNCW graduates must demonstrate. It indicates that UNCW offered findings from four of the VALUE rubrics such as written communication, inquiry, critical thinking, and information literacy.
