Julaine M. Fowlin is an Assistant Professor and the Executive Director of the Office of Instructional Technology and Faculty Resources at the Medical University of South Carolina. With over 15 years of experience in learning and development across various sectors, she leads three units dedicated to academic media, classroom technology, and instructional design services. She is dedicated to fostering a holistic approach to learning and development, emphasizing investment in people and cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation. She is an advocate for strategic learning and development initiatives, particularly in addressing the affective domain and promoting equity and inclusion. Driven by her belief in the power of collective action, her motto is "Yes, we can, and together we will." She approaches Artificial Intelligence from this holistic perspective and has been instrumental in guiding faculty in integrating AI progressively. She has also played a key role in shaping the institution's education AI strategic plan and has co-chaired an AI education conference, fostering dialogue and innovation in this emerging field.
