Did you laugh when reading the title of this webinar? Did you roll your eyes? It may seem impossible to imagine joy in administration given the staggering levels of exhaustion and depletion felt across higher education.

In this webinar, two provosts shared what they have learned about the possibilities of administrative joy and sustainable work cultures, offered specific examples of how to design for and create administrative joy even amid the myriad challenges in higher education, and provided experiential opportunities for reflection and applied practice that can be used at home institutions. The recording will help leaders in higher education increase and foster opportunities for administrative joy for themselves and their leadership teams.

This complimentary webinar was a reprise of one of the most popular sessions at AAC&U’s 2023 Annual Meeting, and a follow-up to Crowley and Roberts’s November 2022 article in Inside Higher Ed. The webinar was presented by the AAC&U President’s Trust, a diverse network of higher education leaders who advance the vision, values, and practices that connect liberal education with the needs of an increasingly diverse student body, a global workforce, and thriving communities.
