What Are Our Newest War Stories?
Stacey Peebles is H. W. Stodghill, Jr. and Adele H. Stodghill Associate Professor, Chair of English, and Chair of Film Studies at Centre College. She is the author of Welcome to the Suck: Narrating the American Soldier’s Experience in Iraq, Cormac McCarthy and Performance: Page, Stage, Screen, and the forthcoming The War Comes with You: Enduring War in Life, Fiction, and Fantasy. She is editor of the collections Violence in Literature and Approaches to Teaching the Works of Cormac McCarthy, and editor of the Cormac McCarthy Journal.

Ravi Radhakrishnan – Centre College
Rent-Seeking Activities
Ravi Radhakrishnan joined Centre College in 2012 as an Assistant Professor of Economics. His area of specialization is growth theory with a focus on the role of rent-seeking activities like lobbying on long-run productivity growth. Another area of his work focuses on intellectual property rights and economic growth. His research in these areas has appeared in several peer-reviewed journals in economics. Dr. Radhakrishnan was named Centre Scholar during 2017-2019 for excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service to the college.

Megs Gendreau – Centre College
Are Athletes Really That Special?
Megs Gendreau’s main research focuses on how we understand human selves and human values in the face of radical climate change, but she enjoys sports and periodically gets to write about them!

Daniel Scott – Centre College
Novel Point-of-Care Diagnostics
Daniel Scott joined the Centre College faculty as an assistant professor of chemistry in 2017. Prior to joining Centre, he was an assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry at DePauw University. Daniel completed his graduate work in bioanalytical chemistry in the chemistry department at the University of Kentucky and was a postdoctoral scholar in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky as part of the NIH funded Cancer Nanotechnology Training Center. His research interests include the development and optimization of simple and accurate point-of-care diagnostic devices working at the interface of nanotechnology, biochemistry, and engineering. Daniel’s work has been funded by the NIH, NSF, and the Society for Analytical Chemist of Pittsburgh.

Jeffrey Heath – Centre College
A Division III Sports Analytics Program
Jeffrey Heath is the David and Marlene Grissom Professor of Mathematics and Data Science at Centre College. His scholarly work focuses on sports analytics, and he leads the Centre Sports Analytics team, a collection of students who manage and analyze Centre athletic data to produce insights for the coaching staffs. He received the 2020 Distinguished Teaching Award from the Kentucky Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
