Yves Salomon-Fernández
President, Urban College of Boston
Yves Salomon-Fernández is President of Urban College of Boston (UCB), a two-year college affiliated with Southern New Hampshire University. Located in downtown Boston, UCB is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and a designated Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI). Salomon-Fernández began her tenure at UCB in August 2023 after serving as Senior Vice President for Operations Planning at Southern New Hampshire University.
Salomon-Fernández has served as a reviewer for the National Science Foundation and Johns Hopkins University Press. She is a former member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Community Development Council.
Raised in Boston, Yves’ family immigrated to the United States when she was 12 years old. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston and holds a certificate from the University of Oxford. Her Master’s degree is from the London School of Economics and her Ph.D. is from Boston College.
