Sophie Haci is the chair of the Economics department at Houston Community College. She adopted OER early on and authored several ‘HCC certified’ courses.She participated to the Z-Degree program at HCC which allows students to complete their degree with zero textbook cost.She promoted OER amongst Economics faculty and recently received a grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to develop OER content.
