Roslyn Clark Artis is the fourteenth, and first female, president of Benedict College in Columbia, South Caroline. Previously, she led Florida Memorial University as its thirteenth, and first female, president. She was named President of the Year by Higher Ed Dive for her leadership in navigating the unprecedented challenges of 2020, Educator of the Year by the 100 Black Men of America, and Female President of the Year by HBCU Digest.
