Kyle Jensen

Professor of English and Director of Writing Programs at Arizona State University

Kyle Jensen is Professor of English and Director of Writing Programs at Arizona State University. He is the author, co-author, or co-editor of six books including, most recently, Kenneth Burke’s Weed Garden: Refiguring the Mythic Grounds of Modern Rhetoric (Penn State University Press, 2022) and Rhetorical Listening in Action (Parlor Press, 2022). His research on writing instruction, artificial intelligence, and public literacy has received grant support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and has been featured in The Washington Postand Times Higher Education. He is currently working on two new book projects entitled Listening Across Divides and Meeting the Challenge: Ten Principles for Generating an AI Responsive Approach to Higher Education.
