Elaine Thornton

Assistant Director for the History of Health Sciences, University of Utah

Elaine Thornton is Assistant Director for the History of Health Sciences at the University of Utah's Eccles Health Sciences Library. In this role, she develops the history of health sciences collection, directs educational programming, consults with researchers, and advocates for open access to images and digital materials in special collections. She also serves as an OER consultant to health sciences librarians and faculty. Elaine has been a SPARC Open Education Leadership Fellow and program mentor, an Open Education Network OER Certificate Instructor, and a campus OER program manager and leader.
