Ascan F. Koerner (Ph.D., University of Wisconsin) is Professor of Communication Studies and serves as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education at the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Prior to becoming Associate Dean in 2017, he served as Faculty Director of the college’s Career Readiness Initiative and as Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Department of Communication Studies. He teaches and researches in the area of interpersonal communication, with an emphasis on family communication and cognition in close relationships.
