Andrea Chapdelaine
President, Connecticut College
Andrea Chapdelaine became the 12th president of Connecticut College on July 1, 2024. She previously served as president of Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. Through her focus on community partnerships, she significantly expanded Hood’s reach and experiential learning opportunities for students to ensure they were career ready. Chapdelaine was named to Frederick’s Top 50 CEO List in 2019 and as one of the Daily Record’s 2019 Top 100 Women in Maryland. She serves as a board member of the Council of Independent Colleges and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. Chapdelaine graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in justice studies. She earned doctoral and master’s degrees in social psychology from the University of Connecticut.
