Measuring and Communicating Institutional Improvement in Assessment

To meet institutional effectiveness standards, colleges and universities must demonstrate how the results generated by assessment and evaluation activities translate into evidence that is used to inform decisions regarding institutional practice.

To meet institutional effectiveness standards, colleges and universities must demonstrate how the results generated by assessment and evaluation activities translate into evidence that is used to inform decisions regarding institutional practice with an eye toward improvement. Both aspects of this work—measuring institutional improvement and communicating it to accreditors and other key stakeholders—are complex. Drawing on the experience of a single university as a case study, this webinar explores effective ways to measure overall institutional improvement. The panelists also offer strategies and methods for communicating about institutional improvement to multiple stakeholders.

This is the fifth in a five-part series of webinars exploring assessment practices at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
