TRUST ME Trailer
As part of our ongoing commitment to educating for democracy, AAC&U has partnered with the Getting Better Foundation to share the award-winning documentary TRUST ME with leaders in higher education.
AAC&U Members can redeem their 50% discounted tickets by logging in here.
TRUST ME explores manipulation and misinformation at the intersection of human nature and information technology. The documentary gives audiences a front row seat to the efforts of individuals, educators, and government regulators to promote journalistic integrity and media literacy around the world. Drawing on stories from teachers and students in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Durango, CO schools, parents in Chicago, law enforcement in India and anti-vaxxers in New Zealand, experts share how media literacy can promote trust and help overcome anxiety, depression, violence, and crime.
Between October 8, 2021, and January 31, 2022, higher education leaders can purchase an on-demand viewing of the full 90-minute documentary. AAC&U members will receive a 50% discount on the regular retail price of $12.99 as a benefit of the partnership. Proceeds from streaming sales will benefit AAC&U and GBF media literacy efforts.
Non-AAC&U Members can purchase their streaming copy for $12.99 here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/171505275897.
