The LEAP campaign has helped institutions of all types to collaborate for liberal education and inclusive excellence. Using the LEAP framework, colleges and universities across the United States and around the world are aligning their work on student learning outcomes and assessment—stepping up to the diplomacy, relationship building, community organizing, and social learning entailed in boundary-crossing efforts. Since 2005, the LEAP States initiative has modeled alignment and collaboration at scale in the U.S. A dozen U.S. states formally participate in LEAP States. Two national consortia—the New American Colleges & Universities and the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges, have also joined LEAP States. Internationally, the Japan Association for College and University Education (JACUE) and the Qatar University Core Curriculum Program, with outreach to the Middle East and North Africa, have used LEAP to build consensus on essential college learning that respects and responds to differences in nations and regions. This array of sharing has offered AAC&U fresh perspectives and productive ideas. The LEAP Network hub intends to gather the best of emerging collaboration as a resource to support further activity. The LEAP Network hub exists to advance liberal education for all people.
