Explores the climate for black women students, faculty members, and administrators in both predominantly white colleges and universities as well as historically black colleges and universities, focusing on the ways that race and gender stereotypes can combine to create double obstacles for black women. Recommendations and resources are provided to help institutions be more supportive and aware of the needs of black women.
