Reforming Undergraduate STEM Education
Institutions are expanding their capacity to drive scientific discovery and innovation through STEM faculty professional and leadership development, community building, culturally responsive teaching, and institutional transformation processes.
Drawing on the capacity for innovation demonstrated across higher education during the pandemic, the 2022 Annual Meeting will showcase and examine new models, practices, and solutions aimed at reinvigorating liberal education in service to democracy.
The conference will give rise to a deeper understanding of institutional levers of reform and outline a national agenda for manipulating those levers to drive discovery, innovation, and social change in STEM higher education.
Teaching to Increase Diversity and Equity in STEM builds the capacity and efficacy of individuals and teams in exploring the root sources, unwritten codes, and systemic origins of the underrepresentation of minoritized groups in STEM.
