Project Kaleidoscope and North Carolina A&T State University are pleased to announce the 2019 meeting of the North Carolina PKAL Regional Network: “Increasing Student Motivation: Strategies that Work”. The meeting will be held Tuesday, May14, 2019 at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro.

Dr. McGuire is the Director Emerita of the Center for Academic Success at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she formerly held the positions of Assistant Vice Chancellor and Professor of Chemistry.  Click here to read more about Dr. McGuire.

 

Meeting sessions, workshops, and poster presentations will explore new ideas on the following themes:

  • Instructional Strategies to Support Students in E-Learning Environments
  • Evidence-Based Approaches to Undergraduate STEM Teaching
  • Strategies for Teacher Learning that Impacts Student Learning
  • Increasing Retention and Graduation Rates of Underprepared STEM Students
  • Contribute a Theme

Event Registration - Deadline: May 9, 2019
Event registration is online. The general registration fee is $50 per person; $35 for post-docs and $25 for graduate students; and includes lunch. 

Schedule
Event Check-in and breakfast will be in the front foyer of the Academic Classroom from 8:00 am to 8:30 am. The meeting begins at 8:45 am and concludes at 3:30 pm.
