Dr. Lorelle EspinosaDr. Lorelle Espinosa is currently the Assistant Vice President, Center for Policy Research and Strategy at The American Council on Education. She specializes in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education; diverse students and institutions as well as nontraditional students.

Event Objectives

This inaugural Massachusetts PKAL Regional Network meeting will provide a forum for the discussion of best practices in retaining underrepresented students in STEM. At the event, attendees will:

  • Share successful strategies for improving the retention of underrepresented students in STEM
  • Identify current strategies use at participants' home institutions
  • Identify new strategies participants can share with their home institutions
