Project Kaleidoscope and Morgan State University are pleased to announce the 2017 meeting of the Capital PKAL Regional Network: “Leadership and Collaboration Across Boundaries”. The meeting will be held April 14, 2017 at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Tuajuanda JordanDr. Tuajuanda Jordan, President of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, will deliver the key note address entitled, "“Leadership and Collaboration Across Boundaries.” Dr. Jordan created the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Science Education Alliance and launched the SEA Phage program, which has since engaged thousands of undergraduates at more than fifty institutions across the country in bioinformatics and genomics research. Throughout her career, Dr. Jordan has led and been involved in many initiatives to increase diversity and inclusivity, encourage entrepreneurship, support and enhance academic excellence, and advance strategic planning, all of which have required collaboration across boundaries. Meeting sessions, workshops, and poster presentations will explore new ideas  on the following themes: 

  1. Collaborations between Community Colleges and Universities
  2. Strategies for Teaching STEM in a Collaborative Learning Environment
  3. Dismantling Silos : Collaborating Across Disciplinary and Organizational Boundaries in Universities

Event Registration

Event registration is online.  The general registration fee is $55 per person; $25 for graduate students; and includes lunch. The registration deadline is March 31.
