Action Lab I: Ramping Up for STEM Success
(in advance of STEMtech Conference, October 2-5)
Goals: To bring together several leading two and four year institution partnerships who are working toward building, strengthening and expanding programs for guaranteed transfer of students from community college into four-year institution STEM programs. At the Action Lab they will share their models and discuss factors that have contributed to success, barriers they have faced or are facing, and next steps for the continuing development of their partnerships.
- To provide an opportunity for invited two-year and four-year campuses to learn from one another about best practices regarding STEM transfer programs.
- To provide time for regional two-year and four-year campus representatives to work together to create plans to advance their partnerships
- To contribute lessons learned and challenges ahead in order to shape a broader agenda for advancing STEM transfer programs at invited campuses and beyond.
