Vera G. Kennedy serves as the Distance Education Program Coordinator and tenured Faculty at West Hills College Lemoore. She was recently the OER Fellow for the Center of Faculty Excellence at California State University, Fresno. In these roles, Vera has provided training and mentorship to faculty and staff in identifying, remixing, adopting, and authoring open-source materials, as well as developed Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) and Affordable Learning Solutions (ALS) programs and pathways with an eye toward equity-minded goals. She is author of the OER original texts Beyond Race: Cultural Influences on Human Social Life (2018) and A Career in Sociology (2020).
