Chad Anderson is a freelance editor and writer. He previously served as the project manager for the Designing the Future(s) of the University and the Global Futures initiatives in the Office of the Provost at Georgetown University. Prior to that, he was the program coordinator in the Office of Integrative Liberal Learning and the Global Commons at AAC&U. He was the project coordinator for the most recent iteration Shared Futures initiative, General Education for a Global Century, a faculty and curriculum development project that builds upon innovative efforts to reframe general education courses and create coherent curricular designs that address complex, global issues across divisions and disciplines. Anderson also worked on Core Commitments: Educating Students for Personal and Social Responsibility initiative as well as provided support for other civic, diversity, and global initiatives at AAC&U. Before arriving at AAC&U, Anderson completed his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Indiana University. At IU, he taught courses in creative writing, English composition, and literary editing and publishing, focusing on subjects related to culture, race, and gender. In addition to teaching, Anderson served as fiction editor for the Indiana Review. As an undergraduate, Anderson attended the University of Virginia, where he majored in English and in American Studies, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
