Founded in 1842, Villanova’s Augustinian Catholic intellectual tradition is the cornerstone of an academic community in which students learn to think critically, act compassionately, and succeed while serving others. With an enrollment of more than 10,000 undergraduate, graduate and law students—the university’s rigorous academic experience, rooted in liberal arts, forms an environment in which students and professors are partners in learning. Villanova University is located in a suburban community, a few miles west of Center City Philadelphia in the heart of the historic Main Line. Villanova’s campus is easily accessible by car, commuter train, trolley, or bus. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is located 20 miles from campus.
The 2019 Institute on Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Campus Centers will take place at the Connelly Center and main campus classrooms. Participants will stay in the modern furnished West Campus Guest Apartments, equipped with air-conditioning, and will have access to on-campus fitness centers and facilities. Institute meals will be in the Dougherty Dining Hall adjacent to the Connelly Center. Team time, built into the Institute program, will allow participants to explore the surrounding areas and meet in a place of their choosing. Train and trolley are available for transportation up and down the Main Line and into downtown Philadelphia.
