Knowledge Exchange Institutes
At our Institutes (held annually), STEM disciplinary faculty and higher education and STEM education researchers who have interest and expertise in broadening participation, will not only develop a common understanding and language for determining success in broadening participation interventions, but will also take advantage of opportunities for:
- critical reflection
- exposure to extant scholarly work
- participation in experiential exercises aimed at developing theories of change that address inequities in STEM
- deep exploration of disciplinary dissonances in developing culturally sensitive measures and indicators that can accurately capture changes in underrepresented individuals and communities.
