2021 Institute on Integrative Learning and Signature Work

Forming a Team and Creating a Strong Application

Institute Campus Teams

The minimum team size is five people, including at least one senior academic officer whose role is relevant to the project. Key administrative leaders are essential for accomplishing broad-based educational reform on campus. Networks of engaged chairs and faculty/staff can help sustain this reform. Teams are also encouraged to include individuals from faculty development, student affairs, or assessment offices.

Application Components and Selection Criteria

In the short-answer section of the application each team applying for the Institute will be asked to develop clear and concise responses regarding the following components:

Context: What led your institution to apply to the Institute?

Goals: Is there a specific project or initiative you plan to develop at the Institute to advance your goals?

Needs: With what aspects of reform do you need assistance?

Team Composition: What is your rationale for choosing the members of your campus team?

Applications will be judged on the extent to which the Institute can assist the applying institution with its project goals.
