Informational Technology Services Manager

The Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), a national higher education organization committed to improving the quality of undergraduate education, seeks a multi-facet, collaborative, and customer service focus Informational Technology Services Manager to fill the position of iMIS Techno-Functional Analyst and Technology Management Support.   The Manager will report to the Senior Director of Information Technology Services.

Position Responsibilities:

As an integral IT team member, the Information Technology Services Manager will perform several duties such as managing Association’s IMIS database and perform activities that support the membership, finance, communications, development, and program offices. Primary duties include database maintenance and quality assurance; integrating the database with other software applications and the web; report development; and advanced queries using SQL, iMIS IQA and SSRS.  Additional duties include providing IT support for staff and external users, serve as systems administrator for all servers and software, maintain AAC&U’s on-premises and cloud resources, assuming the role as project manager for new projects, servicing as consultant to the staff for technical issues and new purchases, acting as liaison with vendors and other supporting program offices, and interacting with program offices to discuss and solve technical problems. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Associates Degree required with major coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Processing, Technology, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of professional work experience in database administration and database application management.
  • Experience managing virtual servers in Microsoft Azure, AWS.
  • Experience with general IT and Project Management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using and administering iMIS version 20 and developing and supporting web-based applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Access, Crystal Reports, and HTML.
  • Experience with Rise content management, IQA Queries and Microsoft SQL Server administration.
  • Experience with iMIS migrations to other CRMs highly desired.
  • Occasional flexible shift schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a dedication to the customer service experience
