Emily Schuster is staff editor and editor of Diversity & Democracy, AAC&U’s quarterly publication on diversity, equity, global learning, and civic engagement. Prior to joining AAC&U, Schuster spent nine years as editor-in-chief of Dimensions, the magazine of the Association of Science-Technology Centers, where she regularly highlighted issues in the science center and museum field related to equity, diversity, inclusion, access, education, and public engagement with science and global issues. She previously held positions in publications and education in various museums and cultural organizations in Washington, DC, including Hillwood Estate, Museum, and Gardens; Folger Shakespeare Library; and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Schuster holds a BA in English from Johns Hopkins University and an MA in museum education from Tufts University.
