Advisory Board

Women and Scientific Literacy was guided by an advisory board of seven distinguished scholars in the field of gender and science. They include:

  • Margaret Palmer, Associate Professor of Zoology, University of Maryland
  • Karen Barad, Associate Professor of Physics, Pomona College
  • Angela Ginorio, Director of the Northwest Center for Research on Women, University of Washington
  • Evelynn M. Hammonds, Director of the Program in Science, Technology and Society, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • Catherine Hurt Middlecamp, Professor of Chemistry, University of Wisconsin-Madison
  • Joan Poliner Shapiro, Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Temple University
