Women and Scientific Literacy: Building Two-Way Streets

Overview

The primary goal of the Women and Scientific Literacy project was to bridge the gulf between science and women's studies by incorporating the new scholarship in these areas into undergraduate science, engineering, and mathematics courses and also by making science a more central part of women's studies courses.

The project continued AAC&U's strong tradition of fostering systemic curriculum change that improves the quality and scope of student learning.

A variety of resources--including bibliographies, sample syllabi, and research on the effects of curricular change on all students, with particular attention to women--are available.
