PKAL Atlanta Regional Fall Meeting: “Facilitating Partnerships for STEM Pedagogy and Undergraduate Research.”

The PKAL Atlanta Regional Network Fall Meeting will be held at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia on Friday, November 19, 2010. The meeting venue will be in the Thurmond-McRae Auditorium, 625 Academy Street, Gainesville. The topic of the meeting will be “Facilitating Partnerships for STEM Pedagogy and Undergraduate Research.” The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jennifer Lewis of the University of South Florida, speaking on Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL). There will be presentations and panel discussions on STEM pedagogy and undergraduate research and a final facilitated discussion on undergraduate research planning which will include the audience. Lunch will take place in Brenau’s Art Gallery, which will have a world premiere exhibit entitled “Links” by Darryl Pottorf (multicanvas & mixed media). There is no registration fee, but registrations must be received by Wednesday, November 17th.
