AAUW’s Eleanor Roosevelt Fund
Applications are due November 1, 2008, for the American Association of University Women’s (AAUW’s) Eleanor Roosevelt Fund. This annual award, presented to “an individual, project, organization, or institution for outstanding contributions to equity and education for women and girls,” includes a $5,000 honorarium and a funded trip to the AAUW National Convention. Feminist Research Methods: An International Conference
Stockholm University’s Center for Gender Studies will host “Feminist Research Methods: An International Conference” on February 4-6, 2009. Conference organizers invite feminist researchers to share their experiences and methods of doing feminist work across disciplines. AERA Research on Women in Education SIG Conference
The American Educational Research Association’s Research on Women in Education Special Interest Group will hold its fall conference on November 6-8, 2008, in Arlington, Virginia. Association for Gender Equity Leadership in Education Conference
The Association for Gender Equity Leadership in Education (AGELE) will hold its annual meeting on July 27-30, 2008, in Boston, Massachusetts. The conference theme is “Building Leadership for Diversity in Education: Examining the Gender Intersect.” Keynote speakers include Randy Abelda from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, who will present her research in a presentation titled "Is College the Ticket to Women's Equity?" Organization for the Study of Communication, Language, and Gender Annual Meeting
The Organization for the Study of Communication, Language, and Gender (OSCLG) will present its 31st Annual Meeting, “Narratives: Our Lives, Our Worlds,” on October 16-19, 2008, in Nashville, Tennessee.
