Call for Submissions, National Women's Studies Association Handbook for Women's Centers
The National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA) Women’s Centers Committee is seeking contributions for a handbook for women’s centers. The handbook is being developed by the National Women’s Studies Association Women’s Centers Committee; when complete, it will be available for download or purchase from the NWSA website.
The Handbook will provide overviews of “typical” women’s centers, sample practices and strategies for dealing with common concerns, as well as a selection of useful resources.

Call for Articles, Journal about Women in Higher Education
NASPA—Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, through the NASPA Center for Women, is sponsoring a new journal titled the Journal about Women in Higher Education. The focus of the journal, to be published annually, is on women at all levels and sectors in higher education. The journal editorial board seeks manuscripts that focus on all aspects of women in higher education. As the intended audience is practitioners as well as researchers, manuscripts that focus on pedagogy and administrative practice, as well as on empirical research, will be included. All manuscripts must be submitted no later than March 1, 2007.

Feminism, Sexuality, and the Return of Religion Conference, Syracuse University
From April 26-28, 2007 Syracuse University will host Feminism, Sexuality, and the Return of Religion. Speakers include Hélène Cixous, Gianni Vattimo, Judith Butler, Sarah Coakley, bell hooks, Mark Jordan, Catherine Keller, and Saba Mahmood. Questions and topics of interest include: What does the “return” of religion mean for women and for human sexuality? What new openings for feminism and gender theory are being made by the renewed interest of intellectuals in religion? How can we reimagine God and the divine beyond patriarchy and homophobia? How are feminist and gender theory to respond to the worldwide resurgence of religious fundamentalism?
