Title IX, the Commission on Opportunity in Athletics, what's at

Congresspersons, President Bush, and Education Secretary Paige.

| Institute for Women's Studies in the Arab World |

The Institute is a resource portal on subjects pertaining to
Arab women and children. It promotes academic research aimed at
studying and supporting women's issues and children's condition
in the Arab World and provides courses, conferences, and seminars
in this area. It also works to enhance the Lebanese American University
curricula and to facilitate networking and communication among
people and coalitions concerned with the status of women and children
in the Arab world. The Institute publishes the quarterly English
language journal, Al-Raida.

| Equity Assistance Centers |

The Equity Assistance Centers (EAC) were first established in
1978 to assist schools and school districts in ensuring equal
opportunity for all students while meeting performance standards.
There are 10 Regional Equity Assistance Centers funded by the
U.S. Department of Education under Title IV of the 1964 Civil
Rights Act. They provide assistance to public schools, charter
schools, and magnet schools in the areas of race, gender, and
national origin to promote equal educational opportunities.
