AAC&U's more than 1,150 institutional members are liberal
arts colleges, two-year colleges, research and doctoral-granting
universities, master's-degree colleges and universities, professional
universities, and systems offices. They are independent and
public, large and small, rural and urban, residential and
commuter. Through their membership in AAC&U, they express
their belief in the importance of a liberal education for
all of their students.
