Technology, Learning, and Intellectual Development

Network for Academic Renewal Conference
October 30 – November 1, 2003
Cambridge, Massachusetts

This working conference brought together faculty and administrators interested in incorporating technology effectively into campus learning environments both inside and outside the classroom. Topics explored include:

  • Using computers and other forms of technology to create environments of engagement and inclusion, and to stimulate higher levels of achievement for all students
  • Helping students tap the power of technology as a means to address critical social challenges
  • Teaching students to successfully navigate the World Wide Web, to separate fact from fiction, and to incorporate new insights gained from its use into their learning
  • Understanding how students perceive the fundamental changes in learning and teaching that make use of these tools
