Institute on General Education
June 1-5, 2002
In collaboration with the University of North Carolina
at Asheville
The Institute on General Education, now in its twelfth year,
is designed to provide institutional teams a time and a place
for sustained collaborative work on a general education project
of importance to their home campuses. Teams have the opportunity
to work — as they wish — by themselves, with other
teams, and with any or all of a team of knowledgeable and
experienced resident consultants. Optional presentations,
workshops, and discussions on key topics related to general
education provide further stimulation. Reports from the approximately
250 institutions that have so far participated in the Institute
attest enthusiastically to the lasting value of participation.
