Shaping PKAL/STEM Priorities for the Next Five Years
There is widespread agreement that the U.S. has come to a fork in the road on STEM teaching and learning. We must significantly increase both the quality and the quantity of STEM learning in the U.S., as we face near-certain decline in a global community where other countries already are producing significant numbers of well-qualified and globally-literate STEM practitioners.

Embracing the importance of these challenges, AAC&U and PKAL have entered into a new partnership to work together toward far-reaching improvements in STEM teaching and learning.

This invitation-only session brings together presidents, academic and STEM reform leaders, and foundation leaders.Acknowledging both PKAL’s signal leadership for the past twenty years and the significant work that lies ahead, speakers, facilitators, and participants will examine ways to significantly accelerate both the pace and scale of reforms in STEM fields.  There will be a special recognition for colleges and universities that have made the PKAL/AAC&U STEM alliance possible.

Please note:  The PKAL Forum will require a separate registration (no fee).  Additional information will be sent in an electronic invitation, or you may also contact Tomas Ramirez at 202-387-3760 or ramirez@aacu.org for registration information.
