Great Expectations National Panel
Representing diverse backgrounds and viewpoints, the Greater
Expectations National Panel was comprised of 26 leaders in
higher education, secondary education, business, government,
and community action. The Panel was charged with formulating
a statement of aims and purposes for a twenty-first century
undergraduate college education. The report Greater Expectations:
A New Vision for Learning as a Nation Goes to College,
derived from two years of work, recommends many ways in which
higher education can improve student learning.
