The Forum on Twenty-first Century Liberal Arts Education
Practice was part of the campus-based, action arm of AAC&U's
Greater Expectations initiative. The Forum was composed of
four working groups each investigating a key learning outcomes
for students: 1) reasoned inquiry; 2) civic engagement in
a diverse democracy, 3) global learning, and 4) integrative
learning.
Working groups held regional seminars in 2002-2003 with
dozens of practitioners, and gathered promising practices
in pedagogy, assessment, and curricular design at both the
high school and college levels.
