Bringing Theory to Practice
Campus Participation: Student Programming Grants
Student Programming grants of $250 are available to student led clubs and organizations that are initiating groups or programming around the objectives of the Bringing Theory to Practice Project (BTtoP). Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis.
Student Programming Grants with faculty supervision can be applied for under the Mini Grant category and are available for up to $2,500.
Participants:
Indiana University Bloomington: "Indiana Classmates/CPR"
Objective: To support a student coordinator for the Community Partners in Reading program which highlights community service and civic engagement.
Southern Arkansas University: "Developing a hierarchy of student civic engagement, enhancing awareness and encouraging others"
Objective: To determine ways to build capacities for social responsibility and civic engagement within our students, and to seek an opportunity to begin an exploration of the relationship between student perceptions of civic issues and well-being.
